When we tested the T300 irons, the thing that stood out the most was how far the irons would travel but still be able to stop on the greens. It’s rare to see a golf ball travel quite as far as it does off the T300 face, but it still has a launch angle that allows for the ball to hold a green.

Depending on what you are looking for in your game, the technology from the best Titleist golf irons that matters most to you will vary. However, there is no question that the Max Impact Technology will benefit every golfer.Â
Max Impact Technology is brought about by incorporating 40% more tungsten into the T300 club head. This extra tungsten encourages players to improve overall distance, ball flight, and launch angle. Titleist was also able to make the face of the T300 irons incredibly thin. The thin face allows for an impressive jump off the clubface and some great distance. The only thing to remember here is that the overall feel of the clubface is a bit hot, you can certainly feel the jump, and this is an adjustment some players have to make in the short game.

Titleist calls the T300 irons the best game improvement iron on the market. After testing from other top names in the game, the T300 is a really great game improvement iron.
When I tested the T300 irons, one of the most important things I was looking for was feel. After playing with Titleist blade-style irons for so many years, I wanted something that would give me a little more distance and some help on the miss hits.
I found the T300 to be good at a distance, longer than the current clubs I was playing with. In addition, when I hit the center of the clubface, it was really easy to see the way the ball would jump off and respond. In addition, I had no trouble stopping the ball on the putting green.
The only real issue I found was the ability to hit a draw; a fade was a bit more complicated.
Who Is It For?
The T300 iron is best for the mid-handicapper to high-handicapper. However, beginners will also benefit from the set. Being that it is a progressive design, the long irons are a bit wider in the sole and give golfers more of a hybrid feel.
In addition, this golf iron can be combined with a set of T200 irons so that you have an option that is more forgiving in the long irons.
For instance, if you have a PW-7 iron in the T200 and then switch to the T300 in the 6, 5, and 4, it can be a good combination.
Appearance
The appearance of the T300 is similar to other game improvement irons on the market. The club head is a little thick, and the top-down look is thicker than many low-handicap golfers will like.
However, the top-down look is thinner than clubs like a Callaway game improvement iron. Overall the look is nothing that is incredibly appealing, but it won’t cause you any negative performance on the course.
Feel & Sound
The feel and sound of the Titleist T300 irons are exactly what you would expect from a Titleist golf club. Titleist clubs are known for their feel, and it is because they use premium materials and impressive technology.
When you hit the T300 in the center of the clubface, it feels buttery, like a Titleist player’s iron. When you miss it a bit, you will still have a pleasing feel of a game improvement-type club.
Overall, the T300 left us with nothing to complain about regarding feeling and sound. If you are particular, even though your scores are not incredibly low, think about the T300 as a great solution for your golf game.
How do the Titleist T300 irons perform?
The Titleist T300 irons are game improvement irons, so we expect distance, forgiveness, and a higher ball flight. After testing these clubs, we found that they were good at all of those things, specifically the higher ball flight, without sacrificing total distance.
Distance
The T300 irons are considerably longer than other Titleist irons on the market. One of the things that helps improve the total distance of the T300 is the lower loft. The fact that this club is two degrees stronger than the T200 means that you will be able to hit it a good five to ten yards further for each club.
Players that use the T100 will notice an extreme jump in the distance when going to the T300. Titleist being the company it is with the reputation that it has, don’t expect to get a golf iron with incredible distance and terrible feel.
Titleist never sits at the top of the distance charts, but you can expect that this one is going to go a long way. Comparable to Callaway Rogue, Cobra Radspeed, and TaylorMade SIM irons. The Max Impact technology, or extra polymer that Titleist placed in the iron, is likely going to be a technology that this company sticks with for quite some time.
Forgiveness
The T300 has a 40% increase in Tungsten weighting than the AP series from Titleist. The tungsten is also more dense than we have seen in other game improvement irons.
The combination of dense tungsten while providing extra tungsten gives the club a more solid feel, even on those shots that miss the center of the club’s face. One of the most frustrating things for golfers is when the clubface twists and turns at impact, making a slight miss-hit a major miss hit.
With the T300, this should not be a concern.
Playability & Trajectory
The playability of the T300 is certainly nothing like the T100 or T200. Essentially this club is designed to help you hit the ball straight. If you want to hit an intentional draw or fade, you may be able to do so, but it will be a mild turn of the ball.
Essentially the club is not nearly as responsive because it’s made to be more forgiving.
A higher trajectory is something we were concerned with when testing the T300 irons, as they are known for having very low lofts and long distances. However, the trajectory was surprisingly high, and the ball stopped on the green without issue.
Control is pretty impressive, considering this is a game improvement iron.
